This isn’t your typical childhood pastime: artist Nathan Sawaya has created a critically acclaimed collection of LEGO® sculptures. Visitors of all ages will be amazed by Sawaya’s ability to artfully depict life-sized animals, dynamic human figures, reproductions of famous artwork like Michelangelo’s David, and more from simple LEGO® bricks.
The D.C. rendition of The Art of the Brick also showcases endangered animal LEGO® sculptures. Titled “Perniciem,” the curated collection celebrates the beauty of nature and sheds light on these vulnerable species.

The Art of the Brick is now open at the Rhode Island Center. Guests of all ages are encouraged to visit, and children under 4 get free admission.
