If the Cowboy Carter craze has gotten us excited for something, it’s BBQ and living our best Western life. This summer fest does just that. Feast and drink your way through the 16th annual Beer, Bourbon, and BBQ Fest just a hop away in Richmond, VA. Best of all, it’ll be taking place indoors at the Meadow Event Park (the same venue as the state fair).
There will be plenty of opportunities to sample delicious BBQ, bourbon, and even whiskey throughout the event, running from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Each guest will get a souvenir glass with their tickets where they can sample as much whiskey, bourbon, and beer as they like (drink responsibly, of course).

As far as food goes, you can sample BBQ from one of the many vendors there, such as Jadeans Smokin’ Six, No Sauce ‘Que, Old Smokey BBQ, and Money Muscle BBQ. You can also try “Shrine of Swine” event at 12:30 p.m., 3 p.m., and 4 p.m. where you can whole roasted pork on a swivel by Pitmaster Clint Medelin from Medelin BBQ. Think succulent pork meat and crispy pork skin.
Later on in the schedule, you can enjoy whisky tasting at 1 p.m. and bourbon tasting at 2:30 p.m..
General admission costs $45 dollars plus $6.30 in fees. Vip admission is $75 plus $10.50 in fees. Re-entry is allowed. Designated driver/non-drinking tickets will be for sale on-site for $25. The festival takes place on July 26th! We’ll see you there.
