The iconic Bridgerton series is the talk of town for those who have viewed the first half of its third season, which premiered on Netflix on May 16th, and since then, we’ve wondered how so many spots around D.C. seem like they fit right in with the setting of the series!
1. The Hillwood Museum in Forest Hills
The Hillwood Estate was once the home of Marjorie Merriweather Post, a noteworthy businesswoman, socialite, and philanthropist, who was known for most of her life as the wealthiest woman in America. Now, the Hillwood Estate can be visited as it hosts a museum and an incredible garden that contains one of the country’s greatest orchid collections.
The estate’s incredible art and refined interior match perfectly with the homes featured in the Bridgerton series, so much so that we think it could easily be the home of the next powerful Lord or Lady to be introduced on the show!
2. Dumbarton Oaks’ garden
This incredible garden is a true hidden gem, it is filled with bright beautiful Wisteria vines that bloom every spring right here in Washington, D.C.!
The incredible visual is so stunning that it seems it would be almost easier to imagine our favorite Bridgerton characters walking through these gardens than it is to comprehend that this place is just minutes away!
3. Kingbird at the Watergate Hotel
Famous for having one of the best “High Tea” services in the capital, complete with bottomless tea and an incredible menu of delicious bites, the occasion will make you feel like proper royalty! If you want to sit around the table gossip with your friends with tea in hand, just like the characters of Bridgerton, this is one of the best places to do it!
4. The Anderson House in Dupont Circle
The Anderson House offers free tours daily that do not require any reservation and take you through the incredible mansion’s history and development. The tours begin at 10:15 am from Tuesday through Saturday, and at 12:15 pm on Sundays, and tours continue once every hour until the final tour of the day at 3:15 pm.
This National Historic Landmark was once the home of Larz and Isabel Anderson, and its interior is filled with incredible architecture and interior design details you’d expect to see in Bridgerton!
5. Along the Tidal Basin
While the view might change soon thanks to the upcoming construction project on the Tidal Basin’s sea wall, the path along the edge of the Tidal Basin is still one of the most iconic and beautiful spots in Washington, D.C.!
The path underneath the cherry blossoms seems like the perfect spot for one of those iconic Bridgerton moments of Colin and Penelope trying to walk and talk nonchalantly.
