The D.C. Police have decided to distribute AirTag / Tile trackers to Washington, D.C. residents from select neighborhoods to assist them in combatting property theft by allowing the police and the residents to better track and locate missing or stolen property!
The D.C. Police’s AirTag Giveaway will be hosted at Union Market in the northeast from 4:30 pm to 7:30 pm this week on Thursday, March 7th.
Do you qualify for the D.C. Police free AirTag giveaway?
To qualify for the D.C. Police’s free AirTag Giveaway, you must be a resident from one of seven specific Washington, D.C. neighborhoods that are located in the northeast of the city, these neighborhoods are identified by Police Service Area (PSA), and the PSA’s that quality for the giveaway are 501, 502, 503, 504, 505, 506, & 507. Washington residents that live in the northeast area can confirm if they qualify for the AirTag giveaway by confirming which PSA they reside in online.

As stated above, the giveaway will be hosted at Union Market / 6th St, NE between Morse and Neal Streets NE, the event will start promptly at 4:30 pm and will continue until supplies run out or conclude at 7:30 pm, whichever happens first.
Participants who reside in the qualifying PSAs should bring with them documentation that proves their identity and residency to receive the free AirTag or tracker. If you do not have an Apple phone, you do not need to worry there are also going to Android-friendly tracking devices being distributed as well.
The distribution is first come, first serve, so you will want to arrive early if you hope to obtain your AirTag without the hassle of a line or long wait. Also, you should bring your vehicle to the event to ensure that the device can be installed on-site by one of the officers to ensure it is properly installed and functioning.
