What to expect at Dining in the Dark?
You can expect to enter into a setting lit only by the glow of candles, to be blindfolded at the door, and brought to your table by a helpful guide. And then, you’ll find yourself immersed in 90 minutes of delectable dishes and mysterious bites. Through all of the frantic searches for your cutlery, resourceful decisions such as eating with your hands, and plenty of laughs, without realizing, you’ll also be taking a masterclass in communication.
While learning how to eat without relying on your eyes, you’ll enjoy an impressive three-course meal. You can choose between vegan, seafood, and meat menu options for a meal catered to your needs and preferences. Thanks to the blindfold heightening your senses, you will fully taste the crunchy and creamy textures of your food, spicy and slightly sweet flavors will be intriguing, and bursts of exotic profiles will be enhanced.

Dining in the Dark is being hosted at the Paraíso and Ambar Clarendon. Paraíso, a Mexican restaurant in D.C., serves “creative cuisine inspired by the streets and home kitchens of Mexico“.
