For years, food lovers across the Washington, D.C. region have wondered when Eataly would finally arrive. After more than a decade of speculation, it’s now official: the internationally acclaimed Italian marketplace is coming to Tysons Corner Center.
The company confirmed that the new location will open in 2027, bringing its signature mix of restaurants, cafés, fresh food counters, and imported Italian goods to Northern Virginia.

What is Eataly?
Eataly is a global Italian marketplace that combines restaurants, cafés, specialty food counters, and retail stores under one roof. Visitors can shop for authentic imported products from Italy, including pasta, cheeses, olive oils, sauces, sweets, and other gourmet ingredients. Additionally, visitors can also enjoy freshly prepared meals and beverages.
The brand currently operates 69 locations across 16 countries, including 20 stores throughout the United States and Canada. Eataly has become one of the world’s most recognizable Italian food destinations.

When will it open in Tysons Corner?
The new Eataly will open in Tysons Corner Center in 2027. The two-story marketplace will feature multiple sit-down restaurants, quick-service dining concepts, and a retail market filled with authentic made-in-Italy products.
Eataly has not yet announced an exact opening date. However, the company plans to share more details about its restaurants, food offerings, and opening timeline as the 2027 debut approaches.
The announcement brings an end to years of anticipation, as rumors of Eataly coming to the Washington, D.C. area have circulated for more than a decade before finally becoming a reality.
Beyond shopping and dining, Eataly offers culinary experiences at its locations. Many feature seasonal menus, cooking demonstrations, tasting events, and educational programming that celebrate Italy’s regional food traditions. While it hasn’t been confirmed which experiences will be available in Tysons Corner, guests can likely expect a destination that offers much more than a traditional grocery store or restaurant.
Indeed, once it opens, the Tysons Corner location is expected to become a go-to destination for Italian food lovers throughout the region.
