If you haven’t heard, a new enchanting Harry Potter Forbidden Forest experience is now open in Leesburg! The adventure is unfolding on the grounds of Morven Park, so grab your wand and purchase those tickets while they last!
To make your journey along the illuminated trail as magical as possible, we’ve compiled a list of everything you should know before embarking on the spellbinding journey.
1. Wear comfortable clothing and footwear
While there will be several surprises tucked along the woodland trail, one thing’s for certain: you’re bound to do a lot of walking. The walking portion of the nighttime adventure can take between 45 and 75 minutes to enjoy, so be sure to wear comfy outdoor shoes.
As temperatures can drop at night, you’ll want to bring warm clothing, too. Talk about the perfect opportunity to don a Hogwarts robe or a knitted Weasley-style sweater!
2. Get ready to unleash your inner wizard
There are several incredible interactive activities within the Forbidden Forest and guests are encouraged to lean fully into the magic. Bow to a legendary Hippogriff, use your wand to cast spells, and take a stab at conjuring a Patronus. Talk about some stellar photo opportunities!
3. There will be a variety of bites and beverages on site
The Harry Potter-themed experience would not be complete without an array of tasty treats! Visitors can indulge in the scrumptious selection upon arrival in the Village, and at mid-trail.
So, make sure you arrive with an appetite to enjoy hot and cold food, plus drinks including the fan-favorite Butterbeer!
4. All ages are welcome
Harry Potter: A Forbidden Forest Experience is designed for families, so nothing along the trail should be too scary! That said, young children may find certain magical elements slightly spooky and it’s recommended that an adult accompany visitors under twelve. Kids ages two and under can enter for free.
5. You can donate to the magical forests of the future
Harry Potter: A Forbidden Forest Experience has partnered with One Tree Planted to support reforestation and sustainability initiatives. While we wish we could wave a magic wand to help rebuild forests, it’s not so simple in the Muggle world.
Thankfully, visitors can choose to donate just one dollar to buy a tree in the U.S. and cover the cost of planting and care. We love this opportunity to support the environment and ensure beautiful surroundings for future generations!
