A Guide To Holiday Markets Open In Washington DC This Year

One of the best things about the holiday season in the city is our amazingly festive holiday markets!

Christmastime is swiftly approaching, the holiday lights are up, the city’s holiday trees are now lit and many of us are still scrambling to get our holiday shopping list done. But that’s what holiday markets are here for. Get your Christmas spirit on while helping out local vendors, getting your shopping done and of course sipping on some excellent hot chocolate while you’re at it!

So without further ado, here’s a list of the winter markets across DC, where they are and when they’re open.

Now through December 11:Hoptimistic Holiday Market

Brewery DC Brau and beer museum Heurich House have teamed up for a special virtual holiday market featuring plenty of local vendors. Head online and shop to support small local businesses!

December 10-13: Shop the District at Union Market

Tour the Union Market neighborhood for some unique finds from local vendors!

  • Where: Union Market and other locations
  • Hours: Thursday – Saturday, 10 a.m. – 8 p.m.

December 12, 19: Park View Holiday Market

The Park View Holiday Market will feature local artists, makers, and food producers, as well as some of your favorite Park View Farmers Market vendors.

  • Where: 3400 Georgia Ave NW, Washington, DC 20010, USA
  • Hours: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on select dates

Now through December 20: Victura Park Winter Holiday Market

Head on over to Kennedy Center’s pop-up wine bar to enjoy some light snacks, holiday cocktails and a whole lot of holiday shopping!

Now through December 23: Downtown DC Holiday Market

This year, the 16th Annual Downtown Holiday Market is hosting more than 70 vendors including Black-owned and minority-owned businesses selling holiday gifts, ornaments and more.

  • Where: Outside of the Smithsonian’s American Art Museum.
  • Hours: Daily from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Now through December 31: DC Holiday Lights

Go on a scavenger hunt throughout the city for your favorite holiday light display and check out DC’s awesome local vendors!

  • Where: Multiple DC Neighborhoods including Van Ness, Cleveland Park, Columbia Heights and Mount Pleasant, among others.
  • Hours: These may vary depending on the stores so make sure to check the DC Holiday Lights website.
