One of the biggest names in streetwear appears to be making its way to Washington, D.C.
Kith is reportedly planning a new 10,000-square-foot store in Georgetown, giving the popular fashion and lifestyle brand a major presence in one of D.C.’s busiest shopping neighborhoods.
The new location would reportedly take over the space formerly occupied by Amazon Books at 3040 M St. NW, according to the Washington Business Journal.
While Kith has not yet publicly announced the D.C. store or revealed an opening date, the plans could bring the brand’s distinctive mix of streetwear, sneakers, luxury fashion, and exclusive collaborations to the nation’s capital.
Where would the new Kith store be located in D.C.?
The reported Kith location would be at 3040 M St. NW in Georgetown, right along the neighborhood’s iconic M Street shopping corridor.
That means the planned store would be a substantial addition to Georgetown’s retail scene.
Plans for the location have also reportedly gone before D.C.’s Old Georgetown Board, further indicating that the store could be moving forward.
The address would place Kith among some of the biggest names in fashion and retail while giving the brand a highly visible storefront in one of Washington, D.C.’s most popular shopping destinations.
Founded by Ronnie Fieg, Kith has grown from a New York streetwear retailer into an internationally recognized fashion and lifestyle brand, known for its own apparel as well as high-profile collaborations and sought-after sneaker releases.
When could the new Kith location in D.C. open?
There is no official opening date for the Georgetown Kith store yet.
The brand has not publicly announced the Washington, D.C., location, and details about when construction could begin or when shoppers might be able to visit remain unclear.
Still, the reported move into the former 10,000-square-foot space suggests that Kith is planning a significant new presence in Georgetown rather than a small pop-up or temporary shop.
It’s also not yet known what the finished store will look like or whether it could include any of the additional concepts found at some Kith locations, such as Kith Treats.
For now, D.C. streetwear fans will have to wait for an official announcement. But if the reported plans move forward, Kith’s arrival would mark a major addition to Georgetown’s retail lineup — and give Washington, D.C., its own outpost of one of the world’s most recognizable streetwear brands.
