The Middleburg Film Festival is getting closer, and moviegoers will soon have another chance to secure tickets for this year’s event.
The festival says individual tickets will go on sale at the beginning of October, when it also announces the complete slate of films and festival schedule.
That news comes as the festival’s advance ticket packages have already proven popular, with every currently listed package now marked as sold out.
Individual tickets are coming soon
The 2026 Middleburg Film Festival is scheduled for October 15–18 in Middleburg, Virginia, bringing four days of films, filmmaker conversations and special events to the town about an hour from Washington, D.C.
For moviegoers who didn’t purchase one of the festival’s advance packages, the next opportunity to attend will be through individual tickets.
According to the festival’s official website, those tickets will go on sale at the beginning of October. The release will coincide with the announcement of the festival’s full slate and schedule, meaning prospective attendees should soon find out exactly which films will screen and when.
The festival has not yet published a specific day or time for the individual-ticket release, so anyone hoping to attend should keep an eye on the official Middleburg Film Festival website and its announcements.

Advance passes are already sold out
The upcoming individual-ticket release is particularly notable because the festival’s advance ticket packages have already seen significant demand.
Every advance package currently listed by the festival is marked sold out.
The festival says the Backstage All-Access Pass has a waitlist available via email, while the other sold-out packages are simply no longer available for purchase.
That doesn’t mean individual tickets will necessarily sell out immediately, but it does give prospective festivalgoers a reason to pay attention when the individual-ticket window opens.

What to know about the 2026 festival
The Middleburg Film Festival describes itself as four days of curated narrative and documentary films in intimate theater settings, with Q&As featuring filmmakers, actors, and other special guests.
Its programming includes festival favorites, premieres, international films, and Oscar contenders.
The 2026 festival runs Thursday, October 15, through Sunday, October 18, with events taking place in and around Middleburg, just about an hour from the District.
For now, the biggest date to watch is the beginning of October, when the full lineup, schedule, and individual tickets are expected to arrive at the same time.
