If you aren’t familiar with Uniqlo, it is a Japanese clothing retailer known for its signature quality basics and pop culture collaborations.
The notable international retailer opened its first location in Washington, D.C., back in 2017, at Union Station, and immediately had a positive local reception!
Initially, Uniqlo was raved about by locals for its selection of ‘packable essentials’ and high-quality, affordable basics that made it ideal for commuters.

While there have been other Uniqlo locations that have opened in the DMV area near the District since the Union Station Uniqlo opened, like the locations at Tysons Corner, Pentagon City, or in Silver Spring, this marks the first new Uniqlo store in the District proper since 2017!
Where is the new Uniqlo in Washington, D.C. going to be?
The new location will be at Georgetown Park (3262 M Street NW), one of the most popular shopping destinations in the District.
It will be taking over a roughly 22,000 square foot retail space that was previously a J. Crew, before the store closed in the spring of 2025.
Once it opens, you can expect to find their signature lineup of classic LifeWear for women, men, and kids, along with their iconic collab merch, graphic T-shirts, and more.
Other standard Uniqlo conveniences you can expect are self-checkout stations, on-demand alteration services, and ‘RE.UNIQLO’ donation bins for old clothes.

When is the new Uniqlo location at Georgetown Park opening?
According to Uniqlo’s press release regarding their push to open 15 new locations across the country, no official opening date has been confirmed for the new D.C. location.
While some of the new Uniqlo locations are slated for spring openings, there is nothing to confirm speculation that the Georgetown Park storefront will be open by summer.
