While the project to open Raising Cane’s locations around D.C. and the DMV area has been underway for several years, with a few metro area locations already opening, Raising Cane’s has officially announced that their Union Station location in D.C. will open in early January!
The first Raising Cane’s location in the greater D.C. metro area came back in 2022, with their opening in Sterling.
If you’re interested in the Caniac Combo or just some of their famous Cane’s sauce, you’ll finally be able to fulfill your Cane’s cravings without having to venture out into the greater DMV area!
When is it going to open?
It was recently announced that their Union Station spot will have its grand opening on January 9th, 2024! Even better news, the location will be open from 9 am to 9 pm every day of the week, and given that it’s inside Union Station, it will be really easy to get to!
What’s special about the Raising Cane’s Union Station location?
Firstly, this will be the first true D.C. location for this famous and beloved fried chicken chain, so having it in such a central and accessible location is something we are very excited about! Also, Raising Cane’s is unique from many other fast-food chains serving up fried chicken because it sticks to its classic simplistic menu: fried chicken tenders, french fries, Texas toast, coleslaw, and their famous Cane’s sauce, nothing more, nothing less. They don’t offer a long list of sauces or any crazy new fried chicken sandwich variations, it sticks to the basics and it does them well.
If you want to order like a true Cane’s veteran, word around the Secret D.C. office is that you can ask them to substitute Cole Slaw for extra Texas toast if you’re ordering a combo, which is the way to go.
