As the United States of America will be celebrating its 250th anniversary this upcoming year, and as a part of the incredible array of festivities currently being planned for the occasion, President Trump has publicly stated an interest in hosting a UFC event on the grounds of the White House lawn.
Now, we know that the event has been formally approved by the Trump administration and will be taking place in June 2026!

Why is there a UFC event happening at the White House?
The goal of the event, as it’s been presented by the current administration, is to host “one of the greatest and most historic sports events in history”, according to a Trump spokesperson.
The mixed martial arts event would take place in one of the UFC’s standard octagon rings; however, it would be set up on the White House’s south lawn to provide the White House as the backdrop from one camera angle, and from the other angle, the Washington Monument.
In addition to the fight itself being held at the White House, there will also be an official weigh-in ceremony planned to take place in front of the Lincoln Memorial.

When is the UFC fight at the White House going to be?
An exact date has not yet been confirmed, but what we do know is that the event is slated to take place in June 2026.
As the event date approaches, more details will be revealed, including the dates for the weigh-in ceremony at the Lincoln Memorial and the date of the fight itself.

Who will be fighting at the White House UFC event?
No official statement has been made about who will be participating in the UFC event.
While there has been speculation around which mixed martial artists would be selected for the honor, no official selection has been made.
