For those who are interested in joining the festivities that are kicking off today at RFK Campus for the 8th annual National Cannabis Festival, you will be excited to hear that this year’s event might be its biggest yet!
The event, which strives to advocate for the medicinal and recreational use of marijuana, is set to include a long list of experiences for festival goers, including live music, an exhibitor fair for local and small businesses, a food truck alley with an aptly named “munchies zone” and of course educational forums meant for open discourse and awareness.

How to get to the National Cannabis Festival on public transit
You should not plan to drive if you plan to partake in the festivities.
Depending on which direction you are coming from, the exact path might be different, but the closest public transit stop near the Festival ground at Lot 8 of the RFK Campus will be either the Stadium-Armory Station, available on the Blue, Silver, and Orange metro lines.
The entrance to the festival is located where Independence Ave SE and C St. NE connect, right by the Whitney Young Memorial Bridge.
Getting to the festival grounds should be no more than a 15-minute walk from the metro station, and if you have a quick access ticket, it might be even faster!
Why you should avoid driving
Aside from the responsibility of never driving while under the influence, there are several reasons why driving to this event is not very practical. The first reason is that parking is extremely limited, and most of it has already been reserved online in advance.
This means that you are likely going to need to resort to an expensive parking lot that takes advantage of you and others in the same situation, all looking for convenient parking.
When is the Wu-Tang Clan performing?
The Wu-Tang Clan will be performing as the headliners of the Festival on Saturday closing out the festival with the final performance of the day starting at 8:30 pm.
