It’s rooftop time DC!

This year also calls for outdoor dining all year long and we’re loving it, especially when it comes with a side of gorgeous city views! From wonderful waterfront enclaves to leafy paradises, these 10 DC rooftops have it all (including safety measures)!  Check out our map below to see which one you can visit next.

1. 12 Stories, The Wharf

Located at the top of the InterContinental hotel, this chic rooftop offers stunning 360-degree views of the Potomac and the DC skyline. If you’re looking for a luxurious night out then 12 stories, with its upscale cocktails and bar bites, is definitely the place to go!

Find 12 Stories on the 12th floor of 75 District Square SW.

2. Columbia Room Punch Garden, Blagden Alley

Want to enjoy some award-winning cocktails? Then head over to Columbia Room’s Punch Garden. The restaurant’s breezy upper deck offers a wide variety of top-notch craft cocktails like Pimm’s Cup ($14) featuring clarified cucumber and acid-phosphate!

3. Crimson View, Chinatown

This beautiful rooftop located atop the Pod Hotel in Chinatown serves amazing craft cocktails with a side of Southern Hospitality.  The rooftop bar is open 5 pm through 10 pm every day and serves a bevy of traditional cocktails like their Paloma ($11)–with altos plata tequila, jarritos grapefruit soda and hibiscus syrup– and  some excellent light bar bites.

4. El Techo, Shaw

Spice up your evenings at Shaw’s El Techo. The rooftop serves amazing Latin American food and offers happy hours with $4 beers and $8 cocktails every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.

5. Officina, The Wharf

This stylish trattoria’s beautiful terrazza offers some amazing views of the Wharf and the Potomac river. A venture by Michelin-starred chef Nicholas Stefanelli, the rooftop serves a wide variety of seasonal cocktails, plenty of champagne options and some small Italian bites. Buonissimo!

6. Perry’s, Adams Morgan

This charming rooftop is a total Adams Morgan staple and a definite must-try on our bucket list. At Perry’s, you’ll be able to enjoy some excellent Japanese cuisine paired with a wide variety of Japanese wines, whiskey and sake while relaxing at its beautiful rooftop terrace.

7. POV, Downtown

This terrace located on the 10th floor of the W hotel offers stunning views over the Washington skyline. Take in the beautiful views of the Washington Monument and the White House while you sip on a presidential-inspired cocktail. The bar at POV opens at 7 pm.

8. Rooftop at The Graham Hotel, Georgetown

The Graham Hotel’s modern rooftop bar offers a beautiful view of the Washington Monument, the Kennedy Center and the city skyline. The rooftop is perfect for enjoying craft-cocktails while watching the sun set over DC.

9. Top of the Gate at the Water Gate Hotel, Foggy Bottom

This rooftop located on top of the Watergate Hotel is a total must-try destination all year long. In summer you can enjoy its 360-degree views over DC and Virginia while sipping on refreshing cocktails while in winter you can check out its super cool ice skating ring!

10. Top of the Yard, Navy Yard

Are you a fan of the Nationals and awesome skyline views? Then the Top of the Yard is the place to go! This rooftop located just above  Nationals Park is perfect for enjoying some low-key baseball cocktails and munching on hotdogs, burgers and pretzels. Throw in a baseball game and you’ve got yourself the recipe for a totally fun night!
