Whitlow’s has a long-standing history in the DMV area. From its original Arlington watering hole to its more recent U Street location, the bar and grill has remained a popular social hotspot throughout the years. Last spring, Whitlow’s made waves with its floating tiki bar as part of an exciting collaboration with Sea Suite Cruises.
Longtime fans will be happy to know that Whitlow’s has no plans of slowing down. In fact, the business has officially opened its second D.C. location at The Wharf, taking over The Brighton.

Whitlow’s at The Wharf boasts two levels, a massive patio, balcony, performance stage, and more. The new iteration also brings some vintage flair and familiar decor from its former Wilson Blvd location, including the iconic “Grill/Beer” sign among other trinkets and paraphernalia. Keep your eyes peeled for the iconic Elvis bust!
Like its sister bar on U Street, the Whitlow’s at The Wharf location will feature happy hours, live music and all-around great vibes. The venue opens to the public on Friday, March 21 at 949 Wharf St SW.
