The Winter Lantern Festival, an interactive, family-friendly experience is once again aglow in the DMV area – but not for much longer. Open until February 18th, the luminous night-walk welcomes you to make the most of the chilly months this year!
Paying homage to the culture and craftsmanship of traditional Chinese lantern festivals, the Winter Lantern Festival contains shimmering tunnels, charming characters, glowing swings and see-saws, and more.
Showcasing over 1,000 lanterns, the Winter Lantern Festival will wow you with its larger-than-life creations. The meticulously crafted lanterns have come to life using traditional Chinese silk cloth through the work of skilled artisans – some with over 20 years of experience.
But that’s not it! Along with the colorful displays, the Winter Lantern Festival offers up engaging activities that will delight the little ones, like a bounce house and sugar paintings. Located just outside of D.C. within Lerner Town Square at Tysons II, the experience is conveniently located right by Tysons Corner Center.
