If you’ve stepped outside in D.C. in the last 48 hours, you probably noticed a thick, smokey haze surrounding the District. Like much of the Northeast, D.C. has been facing severe air quality issues as smoke from Canadian wildfires takes over. In fact, on Thursday, June 8, D.C.’s air quality was Code Purple, reaching over 250 on the Air Quality Index.
