With spring finally feeling like it’s here to stay after a particularly brutal winter, any fun plan that we can enjoy with friends outside in the sun sounds like music to us!
So, when a plan comes around that blends our two favorite things of exploring the DMV area and having fun outside with friends, we’re all over it.
With that being said, when we heard about the Adult Egg Hunt happening at The Henway Cider Barn at Great Country Farms later this month, we got excited to share it with you!
When and where is the Adult Egg Hunt at the Henway Cider Barn?
The Adult Egg Hunt at Henway Cider Barn will be a 21+ event held in the very orchards Henway Cider Barn uses to grow the fruit that goes into its hard cider.
There are going to be just two event dates for the Adult Egg Hunt this year:
- March 28th
- April 4th
The casual 21+ Egg Hunt is focused on good vibes and a fun experience for all guests, so you’ll want to leave your competitive edge in the parking lot…
Guests are encouraged to fill their baskets, but are strictly instructed that their hunt is done once their basket is full, although they are welcome to help out others on their hunt.
The eggs are going to be filled with an array of potential prizes, including:
- Sweet treats & candy
- Exclusive discount codes & offers
- Raffle tickets for grand prize giveaways
It’s also worth noting that these Egg Hunts are going to be a timed event:
- 12:00 pm – 2:45 pm | Check-In Open – Grab your first pour of cider
- 12:30 pm | First Wagon Ride for 1:00 pm Egg Hunt – Be on time!
- 1:00 pm | Shotgun Start for the First Egg Hunt
- 2:30 pm | Second Wagon Ride for 3:00 pm Egg Hunt
- 3:00 pm | Shotgun Start for the Second Egg Hunt
- 4:00 pm | Raffle Drawing for Grand Prizes – Must be present to win!
How to get to the Henway Cider Barn?
The Henway Cider Barn is on Great Country Farms in Bluemont, Virginia, in northern Loudoun County, about an hour from Washington, D.C. by car.
Specifically, you’ll want to head to 18780 Foggy Bottom Road in Bluemont, which will take you right to the Henway Cider Barn.
How do you get tickets to the Adult Egg Hunt?
Tickets are being sold exclusively online for just $30 per person.
The price of admission includes:
- Complimentary first hard cider
- Full-day admission to the farm
- A Great Country Farms bucker for collecting your eggs
- All your egg hunt winnings (which could be worth $$$)
It’s worth noting that because this is a popular event, slots do sell out fast, so if you want to go, you should book your spot sooner rather than later.
