The weekend’s celebration will hold particular significance as it not only celebrates the birthday of our nation’s first president but also his legacy as one of the country’s founding fathers, as the United States prepares to celebrate its 250th birthday this year on July 4th.

The parade is set to take place in Old Town Alexandria, which will have a significant impact on the local flow of traffic throughout the morning and likely until late in the afternoon on Saturday.
The starting location of the parade is the intersection of Wolfe Street & S St. Asaph Street.
The parade will then march north, along S St. Asaph St. towards Queen Street, where it will eventually turn and then head south again on Pitt Street.
