Another Christmas market is coming to the District this month, this time taking place at Union Station, which will be hosted by Amtrak!
The festive fun will feature free concerts and even a huge holiday market, perfect for people who still have to do some last-minute holiday shopping.
Everything you need to know about the holiday cheer events at Union Station
First, Amtrak has assisted in orchestrating free weekly concerts taking place at The Stage at Union Station; the shows will be presented by the Union Station Redevelopment Corporation (USRC) in partnership with Sing for Hope.
The free-to-attend concerts will feature local talent all month long!
The special Holiday Market will be taking place from Wednesday, December 17th, and Saturday, December 20th. The market will be open from 11 am until 7 pm each day, and vendors will be located in both the Main Hall and the East Hall.
The Holiday Market will consist of around 40 vendors offering a variety of items:
- Clothing (contemporary, vintage, second-hand) – including Amtrak merchandise
- Jewelry (hand-made, vintage)
- Vintage books and records, along with new releases of books, records, cassettes, and CDs
- Artisanal baked goods
- Photos, paintings
- Collectibles and Antiques

Do you need a ticket to get in?
Not! No purchase is necessary to visit the market or the weekly concerts that will be taking place throughout the month.

The free concerts taking place at The Stage at Union Station throughout December will include:
- Tuesday, December 9th, 12:00 pm – 2:00 pm – DC Monumental Strings with Amy Domingues
- Tuesday, December 16th, 12:00 pm -2:00 pm – DC Monumental Strings with Amy Domingues
- Tuesday, December 23rd, 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm – District Strings with Madalyn Navis (violin), Kimia Hesabi (viola), Emily Doveala (cello)
- Tuesday, December 30th, 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm – Randolph Strings
