It’s no secret that Chick-fil-A has become one of the top names in fast food over the past decade, particularly with its role in the 2016’s iconic ‘fried chicken sandwich war’.
And while Chick-fil-A’s consistently good food and famous emphasis on a quality customer experience have created loyal customers, there is something many Chick-fil-A fans around Washington, D.C. might not know!
That fun little fact is that the only permanent Chick-fil-A test kitchen in the world, known as “Little Blue Menu“, is actually right here in the DMV area, just a few minutes away from the D.C.!
Where is Chick-fil-A’s ‘Little Blue Menu’ test kitchen?
Little Blue Menu just so happens to be located in College Park, MD, just a few miles from the District’s northwest border at 7242 Baltimore Avenue.
The iconic space is the only physical restaurant Chick-fil-A has ever built specifically to offer items that you can’t find on the menus of any of their locations across the country!
It was first opened in 2023 after Chick-fil-A had success with pilot versions of the same concept, but to this day, Little Blue Menu in College Park remains Chick-fil-A’s only permanent test kitchen location.

What can you order at Chick-fil-A’s Little Blue Menu?
While Little Blue Menu does have the iconic items that you’d expect to find at every other Chick-fil-A location, there are several menu items that you won’t find at any other Chick-fil-A in the country!
Some of those food items you might see on the specialty menu include:
- Pizza
- Flatbreads
- Wings & Boneless Wings
- Burgers & Cheeseburgers
- Onion Rings
- Sweet Potato Tots
- Brussel Sprouts
- Cinammon Rolls
- Lemon Pie Bars
With this in mind, it is worth noting that the selection at Little Blue Menu changes fairly regularly as Chick-fil-A tests dishes and unique recipes.
This means that while the items listed above have been available for order at Little Blue Menu in the past, we cannot guarantee they will have them during your next visit.
