Fall is almost here, which means corn-maze season is about to begin around Washington, D.C.
Luckily, there are plenty of farms within a few hours of the District where you can wander through towering fields of corn while enjoying classic autumn activities.
Some of these mazes are several acres in size, while others offer nighttime experiences, interactive games and elaborate themes.
Many are also part of larger fall festivals with pumpkin patches, hayrides, farm animals, giant slides and seasonal treats.
Whether you’re looking for a quick family outing or a full fall road trip, these are 10 corn mazes near Washington, D.C. worth visiting this fall.
Cox Farms’ Cornundrum Cornfield Adventure is part of its massive Fall Festival, which runs September 19th-November 8th.
The festival is open 10am-6pm in September and October and 10am-5pm in November.
The winding Cornundrum includes pirates, caves, jungles and other surprises, including the Vortex.
Admission also includes giant slides, hayrides, farm animals, the Goat Village, themed play areas, Foamhenge and more.
Montpelier Farms’ Fall Festival runs September 12th-November 8th and includes a 7-acre interactive corn maze as well as a smaller kids’ corn maze. The large maze is available during the weekend festival, while weekday Playdays use the smaller Spookley the Square Pumpkin Corn Maze.
The farm also has hayrides, giant hill slides, animals, a trike track, corn pit, pig races, pumpkin bowling, playgrounds and other activities.
Butler’s Orchard’s 46th Annual Pumpkin Festival runs September 19th-November 1st, with the Twisted Corn Maze included in admission.
The festival also features hayrides, giant slides, a straw maze, corn pool, pedal tractors, farm animals, Hilltop Hop jump pads and a pumpkin-picking area. There are additional activities such as pumpkin cannons and pony rides on select days.
Summers Farm is celebrating America’s 250th anniversary with its 2026 Stars & Stripes Corn Maze.
The patriotic maze opened August 22nd and will run through November 1st.
The maze is part of the farm’s larger fall experience, which includes hayrides, a pumpkin patch, giant jumping pillows, slides, pig races and other activities.
The farm also offers nighttime fall entertainment on select dates.
Beachmont’s 2026 theme is “The Liberty Express,” making this another particularly timely maze for America’s 250th anniversary year. The 6-acre maze contains more than 2 miles of pathways and runs September 11th-November 7th.
It’s open Fridays from 6pm-10pm and Saturdays from 11am-10pm, with an extra daytime opening on October 16th. Admission includes the maze, an Extreme Hayride and other games and activities.
Great Country Farms combines its corn maze with a full fall farm experience. The Pumpkin Picking & Corn Maze season runs September 19th-October 31st, with the farm open daily from 9am-5pm.
The 1.5-acre Farmer’s Choice Corn Maze celebrates the Loudoun County community with photo opportunities highlighting local people and places. Visitors can also enjoy pig races, cider-pressing demonstrations, wagon rides, giant slides, jumping pillows and farm animals.
There are also Family Flashlight Corn Maze Nights on September 19th and 26th.
Wayside Farm Fun opens for its 2026 season on September 19th and runs through November 1st, with regular hours Thursday-Sunday from 10am-6pm.
The farm’s 10-acre corn maze is one of the biggest draws, but its current 2026 information does not clearly confirm a new maze theme, so it’s best not to attach one to this year’s design.
Beyond the maze, visitors can enjoy an 8-acre pumpkin patch, pig races, a goat walk, farm animals, giant slides, Hay Mountain, a jumping pillow, pumpkin smashing and hayrides.
Belvedere Plantation’s 2026 maze is getting a patriotic makeover for the nation’s 250th anniversary. The farm is promoting an America 250 Pig Race Maze spanning more than five acres, with twists and turns based around the theme.
The Fall Harvest Festival runs September 12th-November 7th, with the farm offering attractions including the Great Adventure Maize Maze, jumping pillow, pedal carts, racing slides, Pumpkin Mountain, wagon rides, farm animals and the Swine Speedway.
Back Home on the Farm’s fall season runs August 29th-November 8th, with its 2026 corn maze themed “Every Kid Shines.” Visitors can also play a game of Maizeopoly as they navigate the maze.
The farm has more than 40 attractions and activities, including a 7-acre pumpkin patch, carousel, farm animals and other family-friendly attractions. Its Virginia Pumpkin Festival takes place October 10th-11th and October 17th-18th.
Blue Ridge Mountain Maze offers a 5-acre corn maze at the base of the Blue Ridge Mountains. The 2026 Charlottesville Family guide lists it as a weekend attraction from mid-September through early November, with Fridays in October and November from 12pm-6pm, Saturdays from 10am-10pm and Sundays from 10am-6pm.
Admission includes the maze, farm animals, apple slingshots, corn cannons, a hay-bale maze, giant mountain slides, an obstacle course and other activities. The farm also offers a night maze and live music on Saturday evenings, making this a particularly scenic option for a longer fall road trip.
