The Culpeper DinoWalk is one of the most unique and exciting events for dino fans of all ages!
Whether you grew up on the original Jurassic Park movies or have a few little ones in your family that go nuts for dinosaur stuff, this event is the perfect plan for you.
What is the 2025 Culpeper DinoWalk?
The Culpeper DinoWalk is a two-day event that is a partnership between the Museum of Culpeper History and the local Luck Stone Quarry, which houses the largest quantity of dinosaur footprints ever discovered in North America.
The dinosaur footprints were discovered in 1989 and date back over 215 million years, from the Triassic Period.
Attendees of the only once-a-year event will get limited time access to the quarry, where they will be able to view and walk amongst the dinosaur footprints and also be able to visit the Museum of Culpeper History on the same day.
When do tickets go on sale for the 2025 Culpeper DinoWalk?
Tickets to the general public will go on sale on Saturday, April 12th, but given the high demand for tickets and the limited number of tickets available, the event often sells out quickly.
According to the Dino Walk web page, only around 250 passes are given out each day:
- Passes are limited to 1 per household.
- Each pass is $50 per vehicle (maximum size allowed is 15-passenger van)
- Each pass is valid for approximately 30 minutes to view the dino tracks and participate in on-site activities at the quarry.
- The event will continue rain or shine, so if necessary, dress according to the weather report.
- Each time is given a specific entry time.
When is the 2025 Culpeper DinoWalk?
As we mentioned earlier, the event will take place on May 2nd and May 3rd of this year.
The event only happens once a year, so if you miss out this year, then you’ll have to wait until 2026 to get another chance.
