If you’re wondering why 90’s ‘pretty boy’ style is suddenly having a moment, you can thank Ryan Murphy’s newest series, “Love Story: John F. Kennedy Jr. & Carolyn Bessette“, for its stylish portrayal of JFK Jr (played by Paul Anthony Kelly).
The series, set in the 90s, follows the then ‘it couple‘ of JFK Jr. and Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy, showcasing their courtship, marriage, and unique stresses as “American Royalty”.
So, naturally, when there’s suddenly a new dreamy icon on TV, Washingtonians do the logical thing and orchestrate a lookalike contest to find a John F. Kennedy Jr. lookalike.
When is the JFK Jr. lookalike contest?
The JFK Jr. lookalike contest will take place in the afternoon on Saturday, March 8th, at Barrel House Cafe & Bar in Logan Circle.
The event’s Partiful page states that lookalike contestants are expected to arrive at the bar around 4 pm, but when the fun kicks off for attendees isn’t clearly stated.
It’s worth noting that the event’s Partiful page states that over 450 guests have already RSVP’d that they plan to attend the event, so while it’s still suggested that you RSVP yourself, you’ll want to arrive early to ensure you have a spot at the bar!

How do you register to participate in the lookalike competition?
If you think you have what it takes to bring home that life-changing $50 grand prize, all you’ll have to do is show up at Barrel House Cafe & Bar by 4 pm and find the event organizers to clarify your intention to participate.
At this point, no special registration or prior notice is required to join in the fun, but it’s worth keeping an eye on the event’s Partiful page in case organizers change things up.
