Washington, D.C., made an embarrassing blunder when citizens noticed that the street sign for Virginia Avenue was misspelled.
On the sign, Virginia is spelled as “Virgina” without the third “i”.
According to the Washingtonian, a spokesperson for DDOT said on Friday, Sept. 23, that the misspelling was a “printing error on behalf of our contractor. They’re already taking it down and it should be replaced before close of business.”
