What’s better than an outdoor movie? One that is FREE!
Just outside of D.C. at Maryland’s National Harbor, the Movies on the Potomac summer series has finally begun for another season of comedy, drama, thrillers, and more!
Twice a week, beginning Thursday, May 1st, you can head over with blankets and chairs, snag snacks from one of the nearby establishments, and enjoy a film right on the water.
Movies screen every Sunday and Thursday, featuring a variety of new and old movies to enjoy. Family night, which is on Sunday, is perfect for all ages like this month’s screening of the Wild Robot and Moana 2. While Thursday has a variety of other kinds of movies, perfect for date night. Every movie on Sunday runs from 7pm to 9pm while Tuesday movies start at 6pm and run until 8pm. And like we mentioned earlier, admission is free!
Movies on the Potomac runs now through September 28th, and with a variety of films ranging from live-action to animation, there’s bound to be something for everyone to enjoy!
Movie goers are encouraged to bring chairs and order takeout from the restaurants that line the harbor or if you want to keep things thrifty, pack food and make it a picnic.
