What would Election Day in DC be without political watch parties? The District’s quintessential Election Day activity is still on this year, albeit with a few changes. These 6 bars and restaurants around DC are holding safe, socially-distant parties with voting day specials.
Sitting is limited so we recommend making reservations ahead of the party to ensure your spot!
1. Busboys & Poets, All locations
All seven Busboys & Poet’s locations are holding an all-day happy hour while you watch Election Day coverage on a big screen. The deal includes rail drinks ($4), wine ($5/glass) and $3 off signature cocktails.

While the Red Derby’s indoor bar is closed, Election Day coverage will be projected on a giant screen on the bar’s rooftop. Grab a table for a minimum of six people to grab beers and keep up with the news at Red Derby’s starting at 5 pm.

The gastropub is opening its doors for Election night at 5 p.m. with all its Tuesday night specials available as well as TV’s showing election coverage on full volume. Plus, Shaw’s Tavern is also giving away $5 DC Braus to those who show their ‘I Voted!’ sticker.

Wunder Garten is opening its doors at 4 p.m. for a night full of fire pits, election day coverage and election-themed cocktails. Snag a table and enjoy 2016 throwbacks like the “Moscow Mueller Report” or new options like the “Rum and Covfefe,” or the “ForBiden Fruit.” The party lasts until midnight.

Duffy’s Irish Pub is hosting an Election Night party starting at 6 pm featuring their oh-so-famous wings, sliders, drinks, 9 large TVs with stadium sound and more.

6. Midlands Beer Garden
The Midlands will show the results on outdoor TVs along with “Smokin’ Joe” barbecue beef sandwiches ($5)and discounted shots of Illegal Mezcal.
