U.S. News and World Report released its 38th annual “Best Colleges” list on Monday, leaving schools clamoring to see how they rank for 2022-2023.
In D.C., six universities appeared on the “National Universities” list, with some rising and some falling.
Georgetown University rose to No. 22 in the rankings, making it the top-ranked college in the District. Similarly, George Washington University also rose to No. 62 and American University came in at No. 72.
On the tail end, some D.C. institutions saw a drop from last year.
Howard University fell from No. 83 to No. 89, while Gallaudet University came in at No. 127, and Catholic University fell to No. 176.
