Much to the dismay of just about every Washingtonian, it seems like the District has not yet experienced its final bout of winter weather…
According to weather reports, a Nor’easter storm has been intensifying over the past few days, and it is now expected to bring another blast of cold temperatures and between one and three inches of snow.
When is it going to snow around D.C. this weekend?

According to AccuWeather’s snow prediction, there will be potentially strong snowfall starting as early as 8 am on Sunday and continuing sporadically throughout the day until the early hours of Monday morning, around 6 am.
In terms of how much it could snow this weekend, there is 34% chance that the District and greater DMV area will receive between 1 and 3 inches of snow.
Are Washington, D.C. area schools going to get another snow day?
While it is too early to tell for certain how the snowfall might impact the schools around the District, current projections estimate the likelihood of school closures on Monday, February 23rd, at around 50%.
It will all depend on whether road conditions around D.C. are considered safe by Sunday afternoon.
That said, given the now-infamously inadequate snow removal effort by the District after January’s major snowstorm, it seems road conditions on Sunday evening will come down to Mother Nature.

Is the cold weather going to last long?
Fortunately, no!
The cold weather will arrive in the District on Sunday, which will have a high of 38 degrees and a low of 24, but by the end of the week, temperatures will rise to around 50 degrees.
In other words, while most Washingtonians seem sick of the snow, they can at least take solace in the fact that it won’t be sticking around very long and should be completely melted by the end of the week.
