The District is getting a special culinary event starting this week in the form of a “Digital Restaurant Week” event, which has just been announced as part of a collaboration between the D.C. Mayor’s office, RAMW, and the popular meal-delivery app, DoorDash.
The new event, which is being called ‘Flavor Fest’, is designed to expose Washingtonians to a variety of local businesses through delivery, helping businesses that may be struggling to reach a new audience of potential customers!
What is ‘Flavor Fest’?
As mentioned above, ‘Flavor Fest’ is going to be a multi-week “restaurant-week style” event happening entirely on the DoorDash app in collaboration with the D.C. Mayor’s office and local restaurant association.
According to their statement, DoorDash is investing over $700,000 to support participating restaurants through promotions and advertising, ensuring that local neighborhood businesses are getting an opportunity to truly shine and earn new customers that they may greatly need.
The event is going to include hundreds of businesses across the DMV area, with nearly 100 local restaurants right here in the District.
To make the most of the event’s deals, just order from 3 local restaurants on DoorDash and you’ll receive a big discount on your next order (only valid during ‘Flavor Fest’).

When is ‘Flavor Fest’ happening?
‘Flavor Fest’ is going to be kicking off tomorrow (February 19th) and will continue through March 11th, marking 20 days of deals and discounts to DMV area restaurants.
During that time, the hope is that Washingtonians and other DMV area residents try to discover new small businesses to order from and to share their experience with others when they find a neighborhood spot that delivers a satisfactory meal.
