Next week, one of the DMV area’s premier used book sales will be taking place, giving the District’s book lovers a chance to browse thousands of books and buy trending stories for as little as $1!
The sale’s website mentions over 60 categories of items available for purchase, including dozens of unique genres, DVDs, CDs, and more.
When and where is this used book sale?
The seasonal used book sale is taking place at the George Mason Regional Library in Annandale, Virginia, around a 20-minute drive from the District.
The sale will start on Wednesday, April 22nd, with a special preview sale from 5 pm to 8 pm; the preview sale will have a $20 per person entry fee, but it will give you a first chance to browse the sale, giving you the best odds to find popular books since stock is extremely limited.
The general sale will be open to the public for free starting on Thursday, April 23rd, until Sunday, April 26th.
Each day, the sale will be open between 10:00 am and 5:30 pm.
How much are used books going to cost?
While the exact prices are not advertised on the sale’s website, similar used book sales at public regional libraries in Fairfax County suggest that the pricing will most likely be as follows:
- Paperbacks: $1 – $3
- Hardcovers: $2 – $5
- Children’s books: $0.50 – $2
- Premium / rare / coffee-table books: priced individually based on their estimated value
On the final day of the sale, Sunday, April 26th, all prices will be cut by 50%, which means it will be the best deals of the sale, but it will also mean that most of the popular books have more than likely already been taken.
So, while these prices are not yet confirmed, it’s fair to assume that the spring book sale at George Mason Regional Library next week will offer fantastic deals, particularly on Sunday!
