World-famous celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay, famous for his fiery temper and razor-sharp kitchen skills, is well known for his ability to turn around a failing restaurant!
For a decade, Ramsay was the host and lead in a TV show about helping failing local restaurants turn around their struggling businesses called “Kitchen Nightmares”, which at the time was one of the more popular shows on TV!
The show highlighted Ramsay’s brutal honesty, dry British humor, and experience as a restauranteur to make for an equally humorous and feel-good story calling out struggling restaurants’ shortcomings and helping them improve their food, service, and even management.
Now, it seems like Ramsay is back with a new TV show following a similar premise, and he’s allegedly already filmed an episode at a restaurant in Frederick, MD!

The restaurant in Frederick, MD, that Gordon Ramsay visited and ‘rescued’ was reported to be none other than Callahan’s Seafood Bar & Grill.
Callahan’s, which has been closed since March 4th, not long before the Gordon Ramsay sitings in Frederick on the 7th went viral, just reopened this past Tuesday, March 11th!
The ‘Grand Re-Opening’ event was shared by Callahan’s on social media, highlighting that a new “limited menu” is being offered for the time being that marks the slow implementation of a “new and improved” Callahan’s.
The post also suggests that while the changes made are meant to improve Callahan’s as a whole, long-time fans of the spot won’t see their old favorites from the menu gone forever.
It is also worth noting that despite the media attention following Ramsay’s appearance and Callahan’s subsequent and sudden ‘restoration’, the restaurant has not directly mentioned Ramsay in any of their online communications to date.
What was Gordon Ramsay filming in Frederick?
According to several sources and even a viral video of Gordon Ramsay himself in front of Callahan’s, Ramsay was filming an episode of a new tv series similar in premise to his iconic show, “Kitchen Nightmares”.
The mysterious new show allegedly put out a casting call in the area a few weeks ago under the series name “Restaurant Refresh”, but it hasn’t been confirmed if that is the actual name of the new series or just a working title or even a misdirection to avoid unwanted press.

While the social media post Callahan’s shared regarding their grand reopening specifically stated, “We will not be taking reservations at this time”, it’s unclear if that policy is still in effect.
