Some of D.C.’s favorite bars and restaurants are decking the halls and revamping their menus with festive decor and holiday-themed drinks. 1. Snowglow at The Dome

Hi-Lawn at Union Market has brought back its 50-foot heated dome from November 15 to January 4! The one-of-a-kind pop-up is inspired by the charm of European winter getaways, offering a stunning visual experience, along with a themed selection of cocktails and delicious bites. Plus, you’ll enjoy a wonderfully cozy ambiance throughout your visit.

2. Lulu’s Wine(ter)garden

Returning for its third year, Lulu’s Wine(ter)garden will whisk guests away to the holidays in the desert with cactus Christmas trees, lush garlands, fiery chimineas, and more. Enjoy a seasonal winter menu filled with comfort food and festive beverages, such as their Ho Ho Ho(quito) and Shot-mas Tree. The seasonal pop-up opened on November 19 and will remain open through early January.

3. Winter Chalet at Dirty Habit

Conveniently located just steps from the DowntownDC Holiday Market, Dirty Habit’s Winter Chalet is an urban oasis. The outdoor courtyard space will soon be decked out with cozy blankets, fire pits, and seasonal decor to transport you to the snowy slopes of Aspen.
The space opened to the public on November 14 to serve up hand-crafted beverages, including hot chocolate, toddies, and other seasonal cocktails. Dirty Habit’s Winter Chalet will stay open through the end of January.

4. Après Ski at Casamara

A new addition to the D.C. restaurant scene, the Casamara rooftop atop the SIXTY DC hotel is already embracing the charm of the season. The perfect winter escape, Après Ski at Casamara Rooftop draws inspiration from Alpine ski lodges. Guests can anticipate seasonal warm beverages, fondue, and other elevated delights, accompanied by live DJs spinning tunes every Thursday through Saturday! The rooftop is covered and heated to ensure maximum comfort, and runs from November 7 to December 31.

5. Mercy Me’s Winter Chalet

Capturing the spirit of Patagonian winter, El Chalet at Mercy Me is returning to D.C. to offer festive fare and fireside cocktails. Adorned with snow-covered pine, fireplaces, and rustic wood textures, the space is the perfect seasonal getaway this winter. The space is officially open as of December 6, with limited reservations available.

6. Cheers from the Shelf at Morris American Bar

Located inside D.C.’s Convention Center, Morris American Bar will host the nation’s first-ever Elf on the Shelf pop-up bar. The North Pole-themed wonderland will feature a “Naughty” cocktail list, featuring smoky, fiery cocktails, and a “Nice” menu with cool, frosty beverages. Bites include pigs in a blanket, a milk and cookies flight, and grilled cheese with tomato soup. The experience will be open from December 5 to December 30.

7. Miracle at Black Whiskey

A holiday staple for over a decade, D.C.’s Miracle Pop-Up Bar is making its way to 14th Street this year. Formerly held at Death Punch, the fantastically festive pop-up will now take place at Black Whiskey. Expect the same level of holly jolly vibes, kitschy decor, and nostalgic beverages from November 28 through December 26.

8. Sippin’ Santa at Hank’s Oyster Bar

A tropical offshoot of the beloved Miracle Bar, Sippin’ Santa is now open through December 31 at Hank’s Oyster Bar in Dupont Circle. The beachy holiday oasis is home to an exciting roster of themed cocktails, including their Sugar Plum Mai Tai, Silent Nightcap, and Hot Buttered Grog. 9. Blitzen’s Holiday Pop-Up Bar

Ornaments, twinkle lights, and tinsel galore fill the room at the Omni Shoreham’s holiday pop-up this season. Now open through January 4, 2026, Blitzen’s is serving up plenty of holiday magic. Come for the historic destination, stay for the cheerful cocktails like their Naughty or Spice and Mistletoe Martini.

10. Silver Lyan Holiday Rumpus Room

For those seeking a less traditional festive atmosphere, this ’70s-style hideaway offers a unique oasis from modern life. Indulge in an array of decade-inspired cocktails, each expertly crafted with Silver Lyan’s distinctive touch, while the rhythms of funk, soul, and disco fill the air. 11. Urban Roast

Known for going all out for most holidays, Urban Roast has truly decked the halls in honor of Christmas: a wall of presents, Christmas trees, candy canes, and lights galore! If you’re looking for an Instagrammable hotspot, this is the place! Just grab a S’mores Martini and sit by the fire pit, or hop into an igloo at the brand-new Wharf location. The experience has officially opened for the 2025 holiday season.
