The D.C. dating scene is notorious, but plenty of people in the District are looking for love—and now, they might be in luck!
Season 7 of the controversial hit Netflix reality series Love is Blind will be set in Washington, D.C., and feature a cast of district and DMV area locals.
When is Love is Blind D.C. going to air on Netflix?
The official ‘Love is Blind’ Instagram account recently published that season 7 is set in Washington, D.C., and will air on Netflix on Wednesday, October 2nd!
If this season is an honest reflection of the D.C. dating scene, it’s going to have tons of chaos, a whole lot of personality, a couple big characters, and enough gossip to keep us busy for a long time!
What is Love is Blind?
For those who avoid mainstream reality TV (you’re stronger than us), “Love is Blind” is a combination of reality TV and dating experimentation where 15 singles test their connections by communicating and dating in pods without seeing what each other looks like to see if love truly is blind. If all goes well, the partners can blindly propose, and if accepted they meet face-to-face for the first time.
What follows are weeks of tests involving vacationing, living together, meeting others from the pods, and enduring real-world stressors to see if the love can last. It all comes to a head when they walk down the aisle together in front of their friends and family and see who will actually say, “I do.”
Like any good reality show, what ensues in between is nothing short of love triangles, unrequited love, regret, shouting matches, and sometimes, happily ever after. (FWIW: Only four couples remain together out of all four seasons.)
