Despite being a 20-minute trek from the District, a trip to PG County’s National Harbor remains one of the top things to do for many Washingtonians, particularly during the spring and summer when the weather becomes much more agreeable, and National Harbor has a long list of weekly events.
In particular, one of National Harbor’s most anticipated seasonal events, ‘Movies on the Potomac’, is set to return this week!
This marks the start of a weekly outdoor movie series that will feature two movie nights every week, one film aimed at families and the other at adults, for a date night plan.
The full 2026 schedule for National Harbor’s ‘Movies on the Potomac’
As stated above, the ‘Movies on the Potomac’ series will feature two shows weekly, kicking off this week on Thursday, May 3rd, and running through the spring and summer until Sunday, September 27th.
The outdoor films will take place twice a week on the lawn of National Harbor, right along the Potomac; on Sundays, there are kids’ movies, and on Thursdays, there are more adult-geared movies.
