One of the nation’s biggest and oldest spring festivals, the Shenandoah Apple Blossom Festival, will be in its 99th edition when it kicks off this Friday for 10 days of seasonal celebrations.
The festivities include several exciting events and unique highlights, making it one of the biggest “can’t-miss” events of the spring near the DMV area!
When and where is the Shenandoah Apple Blossom Festival?
The Shenandoah Apple Blossom Festival will be held from this Friday, April 24th, to Sunday, May 3rd, in Winchester, Virginia, roughly 1.5 hours from Washington, D.C.

Is the Shenandoah Apple Blossom Festival free to attend?
The festival itself is completely free to attend; however, some events will have entry fees or ticket requirements.
A few examples of ticketed events include:
- Carnival – $5 entry fee (cash only) (children 5 and under are free) — “Unlimited Ride Wristband” – $35
- Bloomin’ Wine Fest – $35 per person
- Coronation of ‘Queen Shenandoah’ – $20 general admission, Children 12 and under $10
- Queen’s Ball & Dance (Black Tie) – $65 per person
- Grand Feature Parade – The festival is free to view, but preferred seating is available for purchase, from $18 to $29 per seat.

- Country Music Party – Tickets range from $20 to $45 per person, depending on selected seating.
