Stevie Wonder is celebrating one of the most acclaimed albums in music history with a new 50th anniversary tour, and Washington, D.C. is one of the stops.
The legendary singer announced his Songs in the Key of Life Performances – 50th Anniversary Tour on September 8, with 18 concerts planned across Europe, the U.K. and the U.S.
For D.C. fans, the big night is set for November 23, 2026, when Wonder will take the stage at Capital One Arena.
And unlike a typical greatest-hits tour, this one has a very specific focus: Wonder will perform Songs in the Key of Life in its entirety.
When and where is Stevie Wonder going to be performing in D.C.?
Stevie Wonder will perform at Capital One Arena in Washington, D.C., on Monday, November 23rd, 2026.
The concert is scheduled to begin at 8 pm, with doors opening at 7 pm, according to Capital One Arena.
The D.C. concert is one of the final performances during the U.S. leg of his tour, making it a can’t miss for Stevie Wonder fans in the region!

What to expect if you’re thinking about attending
The biggest draw is that Wonder isn’t simply using the anniversary as an excuse to play a collection of his biggest hits.
The concert will feature Songs in the Key of Life performed in its entirety, according to the official event description.
Originally released in 1976, the landmark double album features some of Wonder’s most recognizable songs, including “Sir Duke,” “Isn’t She Lovely,” “I Wish,” “As” and “Love’s in Need of Love Today.”
The album became one of the defining releases of Wonder’s career, earning him the Grammy Award for Album of the Year at the 1977 ceremony. It was also certified Diamond and was later added to the Library of Congress’ National Recording Registry.
That makes the D.C. show particularly appealing for anyone who wants to hear one of the most influential albums of the 1970s performed live from beginning to end, rather than catching only a handful of its best-known tracks.
How much are tickets and how to get them
Tickets for the D.C. concert as going on sale Thursday, September 10th at 10 am.
The event has an overall limit of six tickets per purchaser.
As of September 9, the ticket prices for the Washington show have not been disclosed, so fans will need to check the official ticket listing when the sale opens for the available sections and prices.
That being said, comparable Stevie Wonder concerts on the same tour have tickets selling anywhere from $100 to $300 depending on the seats you opt for.
