Washington, D.C., is getting ready for a soccer celebration where Love is Loud.
The Washington Spirit is hosting its annual Pride match this Sunday, August 23rd, as the team takes on the Orlando Pride at Audi Field.
But the action will go far beyond the 90 minutes on the pitch, with drag queens, live entertainment, a massive Pride flag giveaway, photo ops and plenty more planned throughout the afternoon.

When and where is the Washington Spirit’s Pride Night game taking place?
The Washington Spirit’s Love is Loud: Pride Match against the Orlando Pride takes place on Sunday, August 23rd, at 4 pm at Audi Field in Washington, D.C. Gates will open at 2:30 pm, while player warm-ups are scheduled to begin at 3:30 pm.
Fans are encouraged to arrive early to enjoy the full Pride Night experience before kickoff.
The Spirit is also warning visitors that the Freedom 250 Grand Prix is expected to cause significant traffic congestion around D.C. this weekend, so taking the Metro to Navy Yard-Ballpark is recommended.
Audi Field can also be reached from the Waterfront Metro station.
For those looking to start the celebration even earlier, Spirit supporter groups will gather at Solace Outpost beginning at 1 pm before marching together toward the stadium.
What to expect at the Washington Spirit’s Pride Night
The afternoon will kick off with entertainment at the Spirit Stage inside Gate A, featuring DJ Kidd Fresh and performances from Shiqueeta-Lee, Capri Bloomingdale, Venetian, TrevHer and Delila B. Lee.
Fans should also make time for Spiritville on the East Concourse, where there will be face painting, photo opportunities, poster making and additional activations.
The first 12,000 fans through the gates will receive a free Love is Loud Pride Flag, while drag queens will also be available for a pre-kickoff meet-and-greet.
The Pride celebration will continue during halftime, when the Spirit Crew and drag queens take the field for a special showcase.
Fans can even bring their Pride merchandise to Encore Ballroom Couture’s on-site station in Spiritville to have it crystallized and bedazzled during the match.

Tickets are available starting at around $35 per person but can reach up to $145 depending on the location of the seats you opt for.
