Since the demolition of the White House’s East Wing back in October of 2025 to make way for a new state ballroom, construction is reportedly” on budget and ahead of schedule”, according to President Donald Trump, who also shared two new official renderings of what the new White House East Wing is to look like upon its completion.
Despite remaining “on budget”, the construction of the new state ballroom is now expected to cost around $400 million, and even though the project is funded entirely by private donors, the expected cost is roughly double its originally projected $200 million price tag.
