Just this past weekend, it was announced that current Vice President Kamala Harris is hosting a rally on the Ellipse for her 2024 Presidential campaign. According to the event permit’s details, the rally is expected to draw a crowd of roughly 20,000 attendees to downtown DC on Tuesday afternoon.
Naturally, given the inflow of pedestrians to the rally site and the nature of the event, additional security measures have been added, including a long list of road closures that are very likely to impact DC’s traffic flow in the downtown area!
