Washington, D.C. is known for its happy hour deals, but with new places always popping up or the same places appearing on every other list, it can be hard to keep track of where to go!
So without further ado, here are six of our current favorite happy hour deals around the district that we think you should check out!
1. El Tamarindo – Adams Morgan
El Tamarindo has a few weekly deals that make for some incredible fun!
On Taco Tuesdays you can enjoy bottomless tacos + your choice of margarita or draft beer carafe for only $30!
On Wine Wednesdays, you’ll get your choice of any two tapas on their menu + an entire bottle of wine starting at only $30 (depending on your choice of tapas + wine).
In addition to these two weekly specials, there is also a daily Happy Hour that usually concludes around 7 pm.
2. Bar Japonais – Logan Circle
This spot hosts happy hour six days a week from Tuesday through Sunday starting at 5 pm and concluding at 7 pm.
For deals on bites to eat at Bar Japonais’s happy hour, you’ll find a selection of $5 salads, $6 skewers, and $9 sashimi.
For happy drink deals you’ll get the following:
$5 drinks including:
- Sauvignon Blanc
- Red Blend
- Provence Rosé
- Crément Brut Rosé
- Kirin Ichiban
$6 cocktails including:
- Japanese Melon Highball
- Anjin Margarita
3. Planta Cocina – Logan Circle
Planta Cocina does a happy hour six days a week and five out of those six days they offer happy hour deals on two separate occasions during the day!
Mondays through Fridays you’ll be able to enjoy Happy Hour deals from 4 pm to 6 pm and from Sunday through Friday you’ll be able to get those same happy hour deals from 8:30 pm until close!
Those deals include:
- $9 martinis – Espresso, Dragon, or Lychee
- $9 rosaritas
- $8 select wines
- $6 select beers
- Bites to eat starting from $5
4. Le DeSales – Downtown
With a happy hour that is only available at the bar area Monday through Saturday nights (all night!), patrons at Le DeSales can enjoy drink deals like $10 specialty cocktails, draft beer for only $6, and wine by glass for just $9!
Aside from drink deals, you’ll also be able to order a few special deals on food including finger foods like charcuterie boards for $18 or sliders for $10, and even specialty sushi rolls for only $9.
5. Cucina Morini – Mount Vernon Square
From Tuesday to Sunday, exclusively in their lounge area, you can experience Cucina Morini’s iconic ‘Martini Hour‘ that lasts all night long!
For only $7 you can enjoy any of the following martinis from their menu:
- Morini Martini
- Classic Dirty
- Express-oh Martini
- Sicilian Martini
- Pink Gin
- Made In Manhattan
In addition to the martinis, you can also order some of the following snacks:
- Rosemary Potato Chips $6
- Marinated Sicilian Olives $6

6. Apéro – Georgetown
Located in the same row home as the iconic restaurant La Bohème, which is currently offering a unique Tarantino film-inspired menu, Apéro offers a special caviar hour if you’re feeling boujee!
Caviar Hour is weekly from Tuesday to Thursday at the bar from 3-5 pm and again from 9-10 pm!
You can opt from their menu of pairings for bundles of caviar and carefully selected wines, or you can mix and match as you wish by ordering from their A La Carte menu.
On the A La Carte menu happy hour martinis and wine by the glass are each $9, snacks are only $5, and you can get 10g of caviar for only $29!
