Thousands of daffodils, hyacinths, and tulips are waiting for you to go and pick your colorful spring bouquet from the fields at Burnside Farms in Nokesville, Va. But don’t forget to Instagram this beautiful flower heaven first!
Burnside Farms’ famous Spring Flower Festival is back and so are its beautiful tulips and daffodils! Each year, the farm plants around 2.5 million tulips and daffodils on over 15 acres of land for what is one of the most spectacular PYO events in North America. The stunning blossoms usually hit their peak around this time of year, turning this farm in Nokesville into a gorgeous flower field that will make you feel like you’re in the Dutch countryside.
Burnside Farms opened for its Festival of Spring Tuesday, April 5, and is inviting everyone to take their pick of gorgeous tulips. But make sure to hurry and make your way over to the farm and pick your favorite blooms for the perfect spring bouquet before the festival ends Sunday, April 24.
This year, the farm is offering timed tickets on a limited basis due to COVID-19, which you’ll have to book online on their website ahead of their visit.
Once at Burnside Farms, you can choose to take as many flowers home as you’d like. According to their website, two daffodils sell at $1 while tulips sell for $1 the stem. You can also purchase the bulb for $1 more so you can take it home and set up your own piece of Holland in your backyard (or just your flower pot).
The farm is just an hour from DC and it’s a great spot in which to get over the post cherry blossom blues and continue basking in the fresh and bright spirit of spring. Not to mention it’s the perfect photo op to keep your social media feeds looking as spring as ever!
