Thousands of tulips and daffodils are waiting for you to go and pick your colorful spring bouquet from the fields at Burnside Farms in Nokesville, Virginia.
Burnside Farms recently announced an early bloom in their fields this year means that they will be opening on March 24th, which means that its incredible “Festival of Spring” display of tulips and daffodils will only be open until April 17th!
The stunning blossoms usually hit their peak around this time of year and for three weeks turn this Nokesville farm into a gorgeous flower field reminiscent of the Dutch countryside.
Visitors can picnic and lounge outside its 100-year-old dairy barn or pick their beautiful bouquet from over 150 types of tulips and more than 30 types of daffodils. Five flowers are included with each admission ticket, then you can pay $1 per stem for tulips or $1 per 2 daffodils, so you can set up your piece of Holland in your backyard (or just your flower pot!).
There are tickets available for sale, but they are very highly sought after, which means they sell out quickly if you have not been able to secure a presale spot. Daily tickets are available for purchase in limited quantities, but they are only available online and go on sale for the same day at 5:00 am. According to their site, day-of tickets are $25 per person on weekdays and $27 per person on weekend days, there are also early bird and sunset time tickets, which are $29 on weekdays and $31 on weekend days.
The farm is only roughly an hour from D.C., making it a great spot to continue basking in the fresh, bright spirit of spring while you also get over the blues that come with the Cherry Blossoms’ peak bloom passing. Not to mention it’s the perfect photo op for you and your friends or even family to make a memory that will last a lifetime!
