D.C. Cocktail Week is back! It returned yesterday, November 28th, and is one straight week of incredible events and discount drinks at some of D.C.’s best bars until the 5th of December.
This year, Washingtonians are able to revel in the boozy fun of cocktail week by visiting any of the 100+ restaurants and bars that are participating in the region-wide celebration of craft cocktails.
What is D.C. Cocktail Week?
D.C. Cocktail Week is a seven-day long culinary event taking over the D.C. area, where participating restaurants and bars offer a unique pairing of their best craft cocktail and tastiest bites. The best part of the event is the freedom of going from spot to spot sampling some of the best bites and most creative cocktails from the best restaurants in the area at a discounted price.
The event is put on annually by the Restaurant Association of Metropolitan Washington, or RAMW for short, with the focus of helping support local businesses and boosting a sense of community.
What restaurants and bars are participating in D.C. Cocktail Week?
There is a wide range of bars and restaurants participating in this year’s D.C. Cocktail Week, ranging from fancy French bistros famous for their wine to tequila-sipping taco spots mixing together some mean margaritas! With over 100 restaurants and bars from all over the D.C. area, you can surely find at least one or two spots nearby that are taking part in this special annual event! The full list of participants you can find here on the official website of D.C. Cocktail Week.
Is it free to attend?
D.C. Cocktail Week is not a singular event or festival, so there are no tickets you need to purchase in order to enjoy the fun of D.C. Cocktail Week. Rather participating restaurants and bars all offer one select pairing of their most signature craft cocktail and one of their tastiest bites to eat for one special price all week long. The fun comes when you get to hop from one participating spot to another and compare them to choose your favorite!
Are there alcohol-free options?
YES! There are many bars and restaurants that will offer a signature mocktail drink without any alcohol but with all the incredible flavor to make sure you still have a good time! This event is meant to be completely inclusive, so even if you don’t drink alcohol you can still participate. However, this is still a 21+ event, so depending on the restaurant or bar you are going to, you should consider leaving the little ones at home if you are looking for a plan to do with the family this week.
