After their title-winning and record-breaking 2025 season, the D.C. Defenders are back, now as the defending champions.
The Defender’s 2026 season first kicked off last week with a 44- 26 win over the Columbus Aviators, but this weekend, the Defenders will be playing their first home game since they claimed the 2025 UFL title.
When and where is the Defenders’ home-opener this weekend?
The D.C. Defenders will be playing their first home game of the season this Saturday, April 11th, at noon!
The Defenders will be taking on the Houston Gamblers, who are just coming off a 22 – 20 win over the Birmingham Stallions.
The game, as with just about all D.C. Defenders home games, will be held at Audi Field in Buzzard Point.

Special events + promos for the Defenders home-opener
The game is going to be an electric atmosphere this weekend as the first home game after the Defenders won the 2025 UFL title last season!
The game is slated to be a ‘red out’, which means all fans are expected to show up in their freshest red tee, but have no fear if you don’t have one, because the Defenders are doing a promo giveaway of a red Defenders shirt for the first 5,000 fans to arrive!
In addition to the promo giveaway, the Defenders have also orchestrated for the iconic artist Wale to perform at halftime!

How to get Defenders tickets
Tickets can be easily found right on the Defenders’ website!
There are still plenty of tickets available around the stadium, so you’ll get to choose the section that best suits you, whether that is more budget-friendly or the best possible view.
You can currently purchase tickets for as little as $18.75, but some sections are going for as much as $100 per person, and as gameday approaches, the options will likely thin out.
