Washington, D.C.’s Michelin Guide has added four new restaurants to its recommended dining selection.
The latest additions span Adams Morgan, Mount Pleasant and Union Market, bringing several of the city’s newer dining destinations into the prestigious guide.
The restaurants are currently listed as recommended, meaning Michelin has not yet awarded them stars or Bib Gourmand distinctions.
Those designations will be announced December 14 at a Michelin ceremony in New York.
What new restaurants have been added to D.C.’s Michelin Guide?
The four restaurants newly added to the 2026 Michelin Guide Washington, D.C. are Rye Bunny, Maison Bar à Vins, Bar Del Monte and Elcielo Bistró DC. Two of the additions are located in Adams Morgan, while the other two are in Mount Pleasant and the Union Market area.
- Rye Bunny — Adams Morgan: The casual restaurant from Jill Tyler and chef Jon Sybert opened in the former Tail Up Goat space and focuses on nostalgic, eclectic comfort food. Its menu includes dishes such as fried chicken, anchovy toast, steak and a chocolate angel-food cake.
- Maison Bar à Vins — Adams Morgan: This Paris-inspired wine bar comes from the team behind Lutèce and features French-inspired food designed to pair with wine, including snacks, croquettes and other small plates.
- Bar Del Monte — Mount Pleasant: Chef and owner Oliver Pastan’s neighborhood restaurant focuses on Italian small plates and house-made pizzas, adding another Michelin-recognized destination to the Mount Pleasant dining scene.
- Elcielo Bistró DC — Union Market: Located at La Cosecha, the restaurant offers a more casual, à la carte concept from Colombian chef Juan Manuel Barrientos, whose neighboring Elcielo already holds a Michelin star.

The new restaurants are not Michelin-starred yet
While being added to the Michelin Guide is notable, none of these four restaurants has received a new Michelin star as part of this announcement.
For now, Michelin has designated all four restaurants as recommended. The guide’s inspectors will continue to evaluate restaurants ahead of the annual awards, when Michelin will reveal which restaurants receive stars and which earn Bib Gourmand recognition.
That means there is still another major Michelin announcement coming for D.C. diners later this year.
The 2026 Michelin Guide ceremony is scheduled for December 14 in New York, where stars and Bib Gourmand designations for the participating cities, including Washington, D.C., will be revealed.
