The grocery chain known for its unique items, iconic tote bags, and cult-like following has announced that a new Trader Joe’s location is set to open in the District next week!
The special grand opening event will have a ribbon-cutting ceremony and bag giveaway before the new grocery store location opens to the public.
Where is the new Trader Joe’s location going to be?
The newest Trader Joe’s location in Washington, D.C., is going to be in Friendship Heights!
Specifically, the new spot’s address will be 5335 Wisconsin Ave NW, located in the Chevy Chase Pavilion, not far from the Friendship Heights Metro station on the Red Line.

When is the new Trader Joe’s grand opening date?
The new Trader Joe’s location in Friendship Heights will open on Thursday, December 4th!
The store will open its doors at 9 am promptly, but before that, there will be the opening ceremony, which will include a ribbon-cutting and a special Trader Joe’s bag giveaway for those in attendance!
