Miracle, DC’s popular holiday pop-up, is back in town!
Sounds like we’ve got a little holiday magic to look forward to Washingtonians! Miracle at Seventh Street, DC’s insanely popular Miracle pop-up, has made its way back to the District this year with a brand new location in Adams Morgan.
Drink Company’s Pop Up Pub in Shaw had been home to the merry bar for the last five years. But since the venue closed earlier in February, this year Miracle will be making its way to Death Punch Bar in Adams Morgan.
Death Punch Bar opened earlier in August as part of restaurateur Darren Lee Norris’ three-level Japanese dining experience, Shibuya Eatery. The cocktail lounge is known for its dark and brooding feel which promises to bring a different feel to the wildly popular Christmas pop-up — Miracle at Death Punch Bar. Very 2020-esque!
Options include: Bad Santa made with mulled red wine, tawny port, orange liqueur and Christmas spices served in a cheeky-looking Santa mug; Jingle Bells Egg Nog with Hay and Butter Fat-Washed Cognac, Amontillado Sherry, cream, almond milk, nutmeg, sugar and eggs; the Christmapolitan with vodka, cranberry, elderflower liqueur, lime juice, coconut water, spices and whey; SantaRex featuring rye whiskey, sesame milk and ginger syrup; and snow much more!
New this year is also the Jolly Koala with gin, vermouth and pine-cardamom cordial and the Fruitcake Flip with Brandy, Jamaican overproof rum, amaretto, fruit cake, cherry bark vanilla bitters and whole egg.
Past themes for Drink Co.’s Christmas pop-up included festive panda galore and a “candy cane baseball wonderland,” but this year it sounds like the whimsical pop-up has gone down an edgier road with a Nightmare Before Christmas theme.
With the strange year, we’ve all had it’s nice to know that coronavirus will not be canceling all of our favorite events and that we’ll at least have some Christmas boozy cheer to look forward to! Miracle at Death Punch Bar is expected to open later in November on Black Friday (Friday, November 27)
