44 films will showcase across dozens of D.C. movie theaters in honor of National Cinema Day. The annual fete, celebrated on August 27 entices consumers to fill the cinemas and enjoy the magic of the giant silver screen. At just $4 a piece, the movie ticket deals almost sound too good to be true.
And participating cinemas are spicing things up with even tastier deals! Regal Cinemas will also offer $4 concessions on Sunday.
The first edition of National Cinema Day recorded over 8.1 million visitors to movie theatres across the country, setting the single-day attendance record for 2022,” said Eduardo Acuna, CEO at Cineworld Group, parent company of Regal. “This year with $4 movies and a $4 concession combo, Regal hopes to welcome even more guests on National Cinema Day to see why we are ‘The Best Place to Watch a Movie!’
D.C. area cinemas will show new Box Office hits like Barbie and Oppenheimer in addition to old classics like Spaceballs, Good Burger, Beauty and the Beast, and Beetlejuice.
To see if your favorite theater is among those participating, you can enter your ZIP code at National Cinema Day’s website, where you’ll also be able to see showtimes and purchase tickets. There are 40+ participating theaters within 25 miles of D.C. and 5 within D.C. proper.
