This weekend, on Saturday, March 8th, in honor of International Women’s Day, Washingtonians can get a free mozzarella and tomato pizza from the Pizzeria Paradiso pop-up at Hank’s Oyster Bar!
This is one of our favorite spots for pizza around the District!
How to secure a free pizza on International Women’s Day
To secure yourself a free pizza, you just have to be one of the first 100 guests to come and place an order at the Pizzeria Paradiso pop-up located at Hank’s Oyster Bar between noon and 2 pm!
The pop-up (at Hank’s Oyster Bar around the corner of the main entrance) is located in Old Town Alexandria, Virginia, at 600 Montgomery Street – which is a little under 20 minutes from D.C. by car and only around 45 minutes away if you’re using public transit.
The story of Pizzeria Paradiso
The local D.C. Pizzeria chain, which started in humble beginnings in the early ’90s at a small Dupont Circle location, has since expanded to four spots in the DMV area:
- Dupont Circle
- Georgetown
- Hyattsville, MD
- Spring Valley
Unfortunately, while the chain did have a popular location in Old Town that first opened in 2010, it closed in 2020 as a result of the financial impact of the pandemic.
The Pizzeria chain’s founder/chef/owner, Ruth Gresser, has long been a champion of creating open, inviting, and warm atmospheres meant to bring the community together over good food and conversation.
